Nigel's Philosophy
I have been trading for many years and I have survived. I have had many days of depression never thinking that I would ever get it right, paid thousands of dollars to twentieth century snake oil sellers of systems and spent hundreds of hours trying to find the secrets of Gann, Elliott and others -- all to no avail. My analysis of the market was so incorrect, I even contemplated taking opposite trades as I was certainly wrong far more consistently than I was right.
It was only after studying volume spread analysis that wins slowly came. Previously, volume was the only information that the exchanges time delayed -- thus keeping "the floors' edge". Now with the commencement of electronic exchanges volume is immediately available. However, the only trouble with using any technical analysis based on one parameter is that you tend to get many false breakouts and whipsawed.
In the early nineties while sitting at a blackjack table in Las Vegas, that I discovered the final piece of the puzzle. I had been playing for some time at a table where the stakes were relatively high and after about 45 minutes a player sitting on my right leaned across and said, "You are a terrific player but you'll never win a lot of money because yourMONEY MANAGEMENT strategy is wrong." I ended up spending most of the evening talking to my new friend who instilled in me the importance of increasing your wager when you consider the deck is in your favor. I then took this philosophy, tested it, and now apply it to my trading system. I added this philosophy, a money management system, that minimizes losses and capitalizes on winning trades -- Hawkeye Trading System.

Consistency and Winning
Remember, losing is a part of winning. Although analyzing the markets has never been and will never be an exact science, The Hawkeye Trading System is a concise, systematic trading methodology. I use it every day in my own trading. There are times when you will be wrong, get used to it. But using the Hawkeye Trading System consistently will bring you the positive results you want. |
